Which is more important? Healthy lifestyle or the stereotypical “look” that Hollywood says we should have? I have decided to stop worrying about the scale and start to focus on feeling healthy and enjoying being outdoors more. I gave up my gym membership and traded it in on running shoes. I may not be the fastest runner out there, but I am focused on my distance instead of my speed. I am hoping that my weight will begin to shed as I try to exercise and eat smaller portions. Giving up my favorite foods is not the way I want to control my weight. I want a healthy body even if that means I have a few more pounds than society deems worthy.
